GUI Popup Window Layout

I've been trying to get an answer to if doing something like this in Unity 3D is possible or not. As you can see from my rough little sketch I want my pop up windows to have a photo of each product, a close button to close the pop up window, some descriptive text about each product and finally a "Buy It" button that will open up a web browser and take them directly to the product online so they can make a purchase.

I'm using the Free version of Unity 3D and my target out put is for the Stand alone player. I'll need to make lots of these pop up for not just the over 200 items in my gift shop but also a similar pop up window for all the artwork in my Interactive Art Gallery.

Virtual Art Gallery Project

I'm currently working on a virtual art gallery project using Max 8 for the 3D model creations which will eventually be imported into Unity 3D in order to make an interactive virtual art gallery. When it's completed it will play almost like a first person shooter game or (FPS) onlt without the shooting. Users will be able to enter the art gallery building in a virtual environment and browse 4 levels of this abstract spacecraft looking art gallery building.

Each level or floor will be devoted to one or more art themes. The eventual idea will be that users will be able to walk right up to various artworks and click them for a pop up screen with information about that particular piece of artwork that they are currently looking at.

The top floor that I am currently working on in max is devoted to my photography works. I'm adding picture frames to the various wall locations. Some walls will be devoted to a specific series of pictures, while other walls or rooms will be just a random selection of various photographic artworks.

Although I still have a ways to go on the construction of the gallery and art place holders I even have plans to perhaps put a gift shop on the lower level where users can brows various items of art merchandise and then click it in order to shop online. For instance say a user likes a framed print or a decorative gift box, key chain, coffee mug, t-Shirt or whatever, when they click that item either a pop up will give more information about that product or it could just open an explorer window and go straight to either my Zazzle Shop, Cafe Press or red Bubble.

Facebook Fan Page

I set up a Facebook fan page for my artwork sometime back but had not done too much with it. I've since spruced it up a little with giving it an easier to find address:

I've been posting some of my art onto my MDK Graphics fan page from some of my online shops like:

This way if I create some new artworks, photography, or 3D models for sale this will be another place I can let people know about them and place direct links complete with thumbnails of the product that will take them directly to where they can learn more about that particular piece of art and make a purchase.

individual die-cut stickers From Red Bubble

Red Bubble has released individual die-cut stickers You have not been deceived, these really are individual die-cut stickers. It's quite revolutionary, & while we have your attention we'd like to explain a few things.
The grey line around the graphic is our cut mark, your sticker will look exactly as above, so some designs may be more than one piece. They will be printed to fit best on a 3x4" template, so a square image will have a maximum size of 3x3". The designs will have 3mm of white padding around them which is included in the overall size. We will also never enlarge an image, if the design is 1x1" that's the size it will print.
The material is a tough, white, premium vinyl sticker, good for almost any very flat surface, windows, smooth walls and laptops are ideal; bricks and wood not so. They are removable and can be taken down with little to no residue, but they're not designed to be re-stuck. We obviously can't guarantee all surfaces, some common sense will be necessary. Outdoors they'll last for at least 18 months.
We do not print white, as the material itself is already, so any designs that utilise white may appear quite odd and are best avoided.
Get sticking then.

Hello and welcome to a new Blog By yours truly. My Video game development project seemed to be taking over my other blog so what I have decided to do to make things easier for my followers is to create content specific Blogs.
